EUROPE

AUSTRIA

We have dear friends in a tiny village outside of Salzburg, Oberhofen, where we like to visit. Also Claudio, “our monk,” is at Kremsmunster, the gorgeous Benedictine monastery near Linz. We try to visit every few years.

BELGIUM

Did you know that Bruges has more canals than Venice? We have visited a few times and find it an enchanting place with excellent food.

Being half Italian, I always feel at home in Italy. It is one of the very few places  where I would dearly like to live.

RUSSIA

russiaRussia – what a place. We had been several times in the late fall when it was always grey, snowing and cold. Then, in 2006, we went in September for a Davis Cup tie and what a difference. It was marvelous. Sun, flowers, a blue sky.  I love the architecture of Russia, the museums and cultural offerings in Moscow.
